California law provides that after each decennial federal census, and using that census as a basis, the Board of Supervisors must determine whether any adjustments to the boundaries of any or all of the supervisorial districts of the county are needed. The Tulare County Board of Supervisors has created an advisory committee to be composed of residents of the county to study the matter of changing the boundaries of the supervisorial districts. The committee must make its final report to the Board of its findings on the need for changing boundaries, and, if needed, the recommended changes, not later than August 1. Recommendations of the committee are advisory only.
